Ascend Mount Kilimanjaro via the renowned Marangu Route, nicknamed the “Coca-Cola” trail for its hut accommodations. Traverse diverse landscapes, including lush rainforests and awe-inspiring glaciers, over five to six days. Experience local hospitality with the Chagga people along the way. Optimal climbing seasons are December to February and June to October, ensuring favorable weather conditions. Adequate fitness preparation is essential for success on this iconic route.

Day by Day Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Take this day to relax, adjust to the Tanzanian climate, and prepare for the upcoming adventure.
After breakfast, we will drive you to Marangu Gate, the starting point of your Marangu Route trek. Meet your guides and porters, complete registration formalities, and begin your trek through the lush rainforest. Tonight’s accommodation will be at Mandara Hut.
Today’s trek takes you through the moorland, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Marvel at the unique vegetation and spot wildlife along the way. Arrive at Horombo Hut, where you will spend the night and acclimatize to the higher altitude.
To enhance your chances of a successful summit, you will spend an extra day at Horombo Hut for acclimatization. Take short hikes to Zebra Rock or explore the area while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Rest and prepare yourself for the challenges ahead.
Resume your trek towards Kibo Hut, situated at the base of the Kibo crater. As you ascend, notice the change in vegetation and landscape. Reach Kibo Hut in the late afternoon and rest for the night in preparation for the summit attempt.
Start your ascent to the summit, Uhuru Peak, shortly after midnight. Trek through the steep slopes of Gilman’s Point and Stella Point, experiencing the breathtaking sunrise over the vast African plains. Finally, reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. After capturing unforgettable memories, begin your descent to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest.
On the final day of your trek, continue your descent through the moorland and lush rainforest. Arrive at Marangu Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. Celebrate your achievement before heading back to Moshi for a warm shower and a comfortable night’s rest at your hotel.
After breakfast, our team will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Reflect on the incredible journey you’ve undertaken while bidding farewell to Tanzania.
